Xiquet and Metzi Dinner

 

On March 1st and 2nd, 2024, it was our pleasure to host a collaboration dinner with Metzi from São Paulo, Brazil, a 50 Best Restaurant. In a city where Mexican restaurants tend to be cheap, cheerful and nostalgic, Metzi’s precise minimalism and attention to provenance puts it in a league of its own. The dishes revolved around classics such as tacos, tostadas and guacamole elevated through additions such as fish roe and endemic Brazilian herbs arranged with tweezers until each dish looked like a piece of sculpture. We are so pleased Eduardo Nava Ortiz was able to spend a few days at our restaurant to create such magnificent dishes for our guests.
